Yeah to be honest I don't care because it isn't my car. Just picked it up from listening to my dad talk to his buddies about it. I know the numbers from the dyno though :-)

Yea 98 was the body change. The 93-97 have more of a pointed front. The 98-02 have the rounded front ends. I'm 100% sure of that bc i am a huge Camaro fan and because i have two camaro's.

93-97 has the sunken in head lights, the 98-02 has the plastic, smoothed head lights

they look very different up front but the rest of the car looks the exact same

lt1's are dogs, and there is no way in hell they run 13's stock. when i was just stage 2 i absolutely demolished a cocky guy in an ss z-28 on the highway

I lost to an auto lt1 when I was stock you are probably gonna need at least stage 2

So what would you think a 97 Z28 would run in the 1/4 for reference? What is it capable of with a good driver since youre a fan and know more than most on here?

stock LT1 vs Stock SC'd Cobalt goes to the Z28

Or it would go down to driver, but Id still put money on the Z28. They run really low 14's with just a very few bolt ons they run high 13's

That's what I was thinkin too. Z28's are often underestimated :-/.
