Well actually there really is no "idiot light". Everything is integrated into the Driver Information Center (DIC), so when there is a potential problem, it will notify the driver with a message. Ihe temp gauge is also built into the DIC (as far as I know), so you can read the exact tempurate of the engine at any given time.

The main reason for this is to give the instrument cluster a cleaner, less complex look. There's just three analog gauges (Tach, Speedo, Fuel), and everything else is integrated into the DIC. Just because its not an analog gauge doesn't mean that its not there
