New 6 way comparo.
One thing is for sure. They have some terrible drivers!

It seems you need a picture perfect interior to compete in this segment. GM needs to step it up on the next gen. Balt! Another overall poor showing for the Cobalt SS/SC!

This has to be one of the biggest B/S articles EVER. They bash the wing, but it is an option now to have the low profile, they bash all 2 door cars becuz they arent as "practicle". We WANTED 2 door, who the hell wants a 4 door rocket when you can have a 2 door one. They neglect to mention with enphasis that the cobalt was the 2nd fastest on the track, and the times it posted seem artificially slow. For all of the cars, but especially the cobalt!! I mean get some young people in there 20-25 to really see what the "tuner" gen likes. Not what a 30-50 Y/O wants to go get groceries.

I love how they always say the Cobalt/Redline is the sh-ttiest car (cause everyone hates GM for some reason) but it finishes 2nd in all the race/slalom/braking related stuff...

I kniow, and by the looks of the other cars, I dont see how its alot better. Ive been in an SI and that thing has rattles to, how is it put together "so much better". Sport compact people care mostly about 1 performance, nothing else. Thats why we get exhaust that sound loud that its annoying when you cruising on the highway, to get that extra tinny amount of H/P

The WRX doesn't look very good going around that track looked like if you were gonna take the corners properly it just pushes so then you can see the driver tossing it into the corner and they call it tail out handling what a bunch of noob-ends.

They really don't like the Cobalt. Since they picked options they liked for the GTI, why didn't they pick options they wanted with the Cobalt SS? They could have had a different wing. They could have had an interior trim kit. And those times are just off. I've seen way better stock from the people on this site.

have you guys not seent the new sport compact car comparo with the ss/sc, MS3, and others. they ran 7.1 second 0-60 and 15.2 in the quarter in the balt, and it finished dead last...

0-60 in 7.1 seconds? This guy is obviously an incompetent FWD driver. And quarter mile times in the 15's. I have seen guys take cobalts off the show room floor and run high 14's with TERRIBLE launches all day long.
I can excuse a few tenths off, but other mags got 0-60 in the freaking 5's!!!! Thats over a second off! The numbers that this guy got are closer to a Cobalt SS 2.4.

Our interior is no where near that cheap. I mean yea its plastic but so is everyother car. They must want leather wrapped everything in the interior.
I hate seeing cheap and shitty interior next to the cobalt, because its not at all true

15.2 in the 1/4...hahahaha. My first time at the track with the car I got a 14.9 at least. Edmunds is such garbage. The only thing they nailed is the fun factor on the WRX.

I'm sick of car reviews bitching about any interior, period. A top of the line Lazy Body Recliner has worse stiching than a modern car seat. Carpet layed in the average living room is much worse than car interior carpeting. What the hell do these people want. It's comfy, it keeps me warm. I know you Cobalt guys might not get this, but not having to look through the steering wheel to see your gauges really was a good idea. I can't stand having to angle my head funny just to see how fast I'm actually going on my other cars (Speaking about the Ion's cluster).

I agre ahave u seen the gti interior basically the same exact thing we have. W/e i love my ss/sc and idc wut anyone says. And the 15.2 in the 1/4 BULL!!! my grandma drivin stick for the first time could manage 15.2 ********. . .

I got my car cause I need a 4-banger for gas milage, but I didn't want a gutless wonder (N/A) or turbo'd (GAY). The first car that came to mind was a redline since I was admiring one not 2 weeks earlier when my parents bought a new 2.2 ion sedan. We couldn't find a new redline in the state, but there were lots of ss s/c. Plus its blown 
It pisses me off seeing dumb asses test the car. In my experience, Car and Driver provides the most realistic results. Hell their ratings for the cobalt is something like, 0-60 in 5.8 and the quarter mile in 14.5 @ 98! Now that is WAY more realistic, in fact some people can't even hit that! I ran 14.5 @ 98 with intake and exhaust, they did it STOCK!
