Picked it up today, love it so far.
Only problems are that the cruise control doesn't engage and I can't figure out how to adjust the projectors that are on it (Gen 2 I think? they have CCFL halos and a straight CCFL bar across part of the top).

Nope, it's stock and always has been except the projectors. The button on the steering wheel lights up and sometimes when I hit the "set" button the driver info center says cruise engaged real quick but nothing happens and the cruise doesn't engage.

Ohio SS's are fkn slow!
We're having an Ohio Meet in Columbus next Saturday... come join the festivities.

That's a problem with the Clutch Pedal Sensor, most likely. The one at the top senses that the clutch pedal as been pushed in slightly, so it disengages the Cruise Control. Could be a bad sensor... could be you leaving your foot on the pedal and its pushed in juuuuuust enough... or it could be that your pedal isn't coming all the way up on its own.

1. I am buying a set of Vibrant headers and a Magnaflow catback. Does an engine or trans mount need to be replaced to keep the exhaust from hitting something? If so, what mount(s)?
2. Along with the headers and catback, would an intake and ZZP's stage 3 kit (and a tune obviously, I know enough about tuning from working on my GTP and I have access to a HPtuner) get me close to the same WHP numbers that my GTP had? I'd like to see at least 250 at the wheels. It would be nice to have the same power as my GTP but in a smaller, lighter car.
3. I have an Alpine HU, Alpine Type-r 12" sub and a Alpine 500w amp I pulled out of my GTP to put into whatever car I got next. What do I need to do to get the alpine HU, amp and sub to cooperate with the pioneer system in the cobalt? My GTP had a Bose system and I had to run a PAC-OEM2 to make the HU communicate with the factory amp, I'm assuming something similar must be done here?
3.5 Can I run my 12" type-R and the stock sub together (even if the stock has to be run with the stock amp and the Alpine with the Alpine amp?
4. The passenger rear tire of the SS I'm picking up is worn much more on the inside than any of the other tires. They were all replaced at the same time (about a year ago) and were not rotated. Is the rear suspension align-able or am I going to be replacing parts to get everything straight?
Thanks in advance. Hopefully I enjoy this car (I really wanted a 04-05 WRX but couldn't find any non-salvaged ones for sale around where I live) and maybe I'll meet some of you guys along the way somewhere.
-Kyle
Check to see if the power steering has been completed (ask at a dealership)
1: I dont know. Id like to put an exhaust on my car as well, but I dont know much about exhausts, and ive heard they sound crappy on our cars.
2: 250 WHP is doable, my last dyno was at 232
I reccomend you get a book called "The LSJ POwer BooK" It talks about
some of the history of the LSJ and also gives you build instructions
to get up to 300 HP at the crank
3: Don't know
3.5 Don't know
4. Most likley that's an alignment problem. However it COULD be in the steering. Get it in for an alignment and checked out. As far as I know, you can align the rear however you cannot make Caster adjustments (that ive heard of ) , however your tire wear sounds like it would be out of camber.

I'm actually going to be up in Norwalk next Saturday at the Ohio Drags IV event (Taking my girl and 2 of our friends up) but thanks for the invite I'll come out to some local meets whenever I can.
I actually pulled up on both the clutch and brake pedals with my foot while driving today to make sure both were up the whole way and it didn't make a difference. I don't rest my foot on the clutch either, but the previous owner lived in the hills outside of Pittsburgh so that could have something to do with it. I'll have to check the sensor out. Thanks for the info!

Fixed the cruise by disconnecting the battery at another member's suggestion. Now the reverse lights and sunroof switch have stopped working though. I'm also pretty sure the I/C pump isn't working (shouldn't I be able to hear it?)
