New slave cylinder still leaking brake fluid

New slave cylinder still leaking brake fluid
I have an 07 cobalt ss with a supercharger. I recently replaced the slave cylinder because whenever I would go past 4000rpm and shift, I would lose all clutch and would have to pump it to get it back. Now I have another problem. I am not losing any clutch pressure but if I am in any gear and hit 5000rpm, I start leaking brake/clutch fluid like it is a faucet. What could the problem be?

It is just a stock power torque replacement one I bought from o reileys. And it seems to be leaking either from the new slave cylinder or somewhere right above or inside of the transmission. From research ive found online it could be a hose, master cylinder, or I'm hearing from some people that it is a bad slave cylinder

Could be a defective slave, but did you change the clutch pipe, the piece that leaves the slave and goes up to the top of the trans? the little cup seal on there is a very common failure point.

Well this is actually the 2nd one that is doing it again. We put 1 brand new one in and it leaked and we thought it was just a bad part, now its happening again. We didn't change the clutch pipe because we thought it was in good condition. Also, the reservoir of brake fluid doesn't go down at all when it is leaking

There's a little seal on the clutch line that goes from the slave to the top of the trans that's really important when doing these things. I went through a couple of slave cylinders before realizing what my problem was. Does your pedal just go to the floor? Are you bench bleeding it before putting it on?

I haven't seen you say you've checked for it, so I'm going to be the third to suggest you check the little nipple seal on the distribution block on top of the trans. It's an easy check and is likely where the issue is.
