No Low Washer Fluid Sensor...hmmm

All I can say is GM? Why don't our cars have a low washer fluid sensor? My parents bass model 2003 Impala has one. With all the info the DIC tells us, I really thought it would have a sensor. Guess I was wrong.

It was probably $20,000. They paid $16,000 for it in 2004 with, I think, 40 000-60 000kms.

With the sensor, it warns you before it gets to that point.

Only time I've ever seen washer fluid an issue was when a friend and I went out to the damn to shoot ****. Drove his ranger through a big mud puddle. He had no washer fluid so he jumped up on his hood and pissed on the windshield. Problem solved. That's how we do it in Oklahoma

what we need to remember, despite how awesome we think our cars are, is that they are still a bottom of the line car for gm. plain old basic transportation that needs to sell for a cheap price. gm is going to leave out the little things cause to be honest, people in the price range of the cobalt arent going to care if they can tell when their washer fluid is low. and yes it might be nice to add to the ss and such, however people who own performance things generally care about their car and keep an eye on fluid levels, and again dont really care about a light telling you your washer fluid is low.

^ this, and if youre on this forum, 90% chance you change your own oil. check the washer fluid while youre in there, or hell when you get gas.

Just fill it once a year. That should be plenty.

Seriously. I think I've needed to fill mine like 2 times in the 4 years I've had my car.

I'm just saying I'm kind of surprised, but at the same time not really, it doesn't have one. This was actually the first time I ran it empty (bought car on May 21 2010).

Nope. Not winter driven. Couldn't bring myself to do that. I do use the washes a fair bit sometimes. I'm picky when it cones to a dirty windshield.
