Oil cooler?
Hi just got home from a short road trip, no car issues while on the road but noticed oil under car when I got home, checked to see where from and its the coolant reservoir ! It was full of oil and the oil dipstick almost empty. No sign of coolant in the engine. I was thinking the oil cooler (mine is the 2.4 l before it was remodeled) Anyone else have this issue?

You can get a good used cooler for cheap, that's how i've fixed them in the past for local guys.
Check with Mongorat427 on here, he has tons of used parts. Could probably help you out.

What is that part? I can't see anything come up when I search the number, is it a replacement cooler?

Everyone seems to be saying they doubt its the cooler , more likely a head gasket , GM is looking for the conversion kit for me. Have you seen this issue with the eternal leak many time? sorry to be a pain , trying to avoid a 1500$ engine.

And Jeff didn't have any available.

Take the cooler off. It will be full of that milky crap. I've replaced a couple personally.
These engines just don't blow head gaskets, it's so rare. The only time i've had oil/coolant mix is on a damaged block or a bad oil cooler.

Can the coolers be repaired or patched? Where do they leak from internally, orings or do they just get holes or something .

I get that but my 1995 camry has different parts and they are still made..GM made Cobalts with this cooler, got rid of it in case they leaked and when they did leak they stop making parts..so far dealers have told me to change the engine...weld a pipe into the hole and look in scrap yards (which I did but there are none)
