ok pcm flashing???

ok i was on coblat addiction, and i was looking at getting the stage 4 kit for my 07 cobalt ss s/c... now i have been calling LOTS of dealerships and they want nothing to do with it... for some reason i can find ANYONE to flash my PCM and fix my fuel cruve for the new injectors... i was also on the site looking at the pcm they hade on there, and i wasent sure if that one was already programed for the 45 lb injectors... so i need some help, i really feel like getting that kit, or even the step above witht he 60 lb injectors... but i just cant find anyone to reflash... can anyone help??!? in case you where wondering tho, i'll be doing the install myself, tho it will void any type of warrenty i have... oh well only live once!

There isn't any tuning out for the 07s yet, to my knowledge. So you pretty much put the Stage 2 in without a tune????????????

You are going to hurt you car, badly....

Wow, I just re-read that, you are calling dealerships to re-flash your PCM? Not to be an ass, but you are in way over your head. They don't have re-write access to the PCM, they can only flash it with an update.

Yes, and then I thought they figured out that that tune was bad or wouldn't work....

The 07's can now handle the stage kits.

HOWEVER

Theres a signifigant bug in the system when it comes to the reflash on the pcm. It stalls mid way or when it is close to being complete and theres no way to fix it. (as of now)

I wouldn't buy the GM if you are going to install it yourself, that is like paying $600 for injectors, belt and pulley. Go aftermarket. I would be a little lenient about CA though, seems like a lot there cars have been blowing up lately....

You are going to have to wait a while for any tuning. Might as well invest your money in other stuff, exhaust, intake, axles, clutch, etc. etc.

Hate to say it but i'm lenient of Intense also, I know a lot of Grand Prixs over the past 3 years blowing up because of faulty tuning and components. I've heard of it on the Cobalt side also.

Best way to go is buy your own pulley (ZZP, Pulley Boys, etc...) and buy something such as Lucas projectors, a GM Stage 2 Belt, and have somebody with HP tune it for you.

Yeah, I am lenient of any mail-in tune, I shouldn't have just pointed out CA.

Wait until the bugs get worked out of the GM stage tune.....then Buy it and pay to have them install it and keep your warranty intaked.....then at 36k do more like 60's/pulley/HPtune
