Okay, just went back and looked. The LS (base) models still have the 4*100 wheel pattern. I didn't bring my ruler with me, but it appears the LT uses a 5*100 pattern, just like the old J-bodies. Still has rear drum brakes.

The steering wheel controls now match the buttons on the rest of the car, like on the radio and the door panels for the power windows and locks. The older buttons where still the older style buttons from the early 2000 model year cars. So I do like now how the all the buttons match and are the same style, but I don't care about the wheel design itself. I kindda like my 4 spoke steering wheel.

Personally, I like the original stereo better. I don't like that button sticking out on the right by the display. I like the symettrical design of the old one. The silver trim on the dash looked better too around it than the black does. The i-pod jack would have been nice though. The three spoke steering wheel is nice, but that looks freaking ugly on the models that don't have radio controls on the wheel (buttons on only one side). That said, there is really nothing wrong with my steering wheel.

Betcha its a 5x110.

Was it 4-wheel disc? Maybe they will eliminate drums for 2007.

EDIT - Just read the other post; I'm a moron.

I'm not impressed by the steering wheel or radio. I don't have ipod so its no difference to me.

I really would have been pissed if they added some proper gauges, like a real temp or oil pressure gauge.

The new 16's look like poop, sorry. I like mine MUCH better. I kinda like the 5-lug set-up, but I don't suppose that makes a huge difference other than in wheel selection...

I can't wait until somebody with an 07 cobalt gets an aftermarket player! Then I can buy it muhahah!

I also hope the new bolt pattern for the base cobalts is 5x110, that means Us SS owners can sell our rims to them!

I saw a new G5 today in Muncie, the tailights are different which is pretty cool but what i noticed is, is that they put in clear corners except for the bulb and the side tab. They totally took out the amber circle where the bulb is. I thought that was pretty cool and the rear valence piece is awesome! Its comepletely smooth. I may even think about fitting it up to my SS/SC. I think it would look 10x better.

Personally I do not like the way the steering wheel looks. And I really dont like the big power button for the new radio. The AUX feature doesnt bother me anymore since I have my Audiovox Modulator.

Its a little box that modulates two set FM frequencies. Depending on what freq. you have it set on, it will make the freq. clear and you have to connect the box to your HU and antenna. Also, you can set it up so you can have a male RCA wire to headphone jack so the iPod plays clearly.

EDIT: Heres a link to all the parts I got before and after installation.

FU#$! I wonder if that radio will plug into the 2006 harness, I would assume most likely. I need that input like a crack head needs crack.

Is the 6-disc changer stock with the 07 SS/SC or an option?

It's not true. it's new for 07. Personally I'm not a fan of the 3 spoke steering wheel. IMO it's just Gm chasing after the imports again. Wouldn't surprise me if for 08 they gave it a digital speedometer set above the tachometer. heh.

Thank you! Somebody finally caught on. So, yes! Radio controls are available for the 3 spoke. And just like most of you, I love the radio. Thinking about putting it in my SS/SC...$1300, sounds like that includes install.

That's because it is a Pontiac steering wheel. Didn't you see the arrowhead in the center of the steering wheel. Also, I didn't like the 3 spoke wheel either when I first saw it last year. Looked ugly. Now that my company has had HHR's in its fleet for the last year it has grown on me. Really feels better with hand placement. Plus, by moving the info system buttons to the wheel it gets rid of that cheap cut out, almost forgot and had to quickly find a place to put it, look.
