Question about the balt and others looks.
Why is it that cars like the cobalt, srt4, civic si, ms3, ect... look like chick cars? Like I know performance wise, they are quick cars, but always felt that they looked like, well, a lady should be driving them. Why cant they be designed to look mean and agressive. When I see a stang or a camaro, they scream performance and muscle to me.

not many girls drive ss cobalts tho and not many good looking girls drive ss cobalt either lol
mostly because MOST not ALL girls dont know how to drive 5 speed

I agree Bass Waves. The base models of the cars you listed are compact economy cars which get associated as "girl" cars. When they go into design a mustang, camaro, challenger, 370z, their intention is to build a sports car. With a cobalt, neon, and what have you they are primarily a compact economy car, and the sports models are the second thought. It really comes down to less of why they are designed to be a girls car, and more of how we stereotype styling on cars. btw i see way more girls driving automatic v6 mustangs than i do cobalt ss, it all comes down to the origin of the body style.

Seriously though.... Not thinking a Mustang is a chick car.... Camaro doesn't say manly it says mullet.... Ok kinda sorta the same thing but not really. Chick cars are only what you wanna think of them as. If you think it's a chick car, that's your own fault. Technically every car can be a chick car because women drive them. Hell the other day I saw a black CTS-V coupe with black wheels... Driven by a women. Don't think of it that way and it won't be. People get way too worked up about the whole "chick car" thing. The only thing I will ever really think of as an actual "chick car" is a 2000-2010 Beetle.

I think theres actually.a difference. Girl cars dont have teardrop body lines with rolled fenders. Chick cars dont have twin style taillights and big sharp headlights. Chick cars : vw beetle. Chevy AVEO (not the cobalts!) nissan versa. Toyotra matrix. Best of all:: dodge minivan

Lol i never once thought of my car as a "chick car" my gf drives an 09 mustang gt I see more girls in mustangs than I do in ss cobalts. Plus I love the looks I get when I beat those so called "guy cars" lol

Biggest problem is the average person dosnt know what a cobalt ss or a SRT4 is. Its still just a cobalt or neon to them. Thats like me, you know how many people ive surprised with my car...
