recall stuff: anyone get notified about parts availability?

I havent received any notification yet about the availability of parts for the recall, anyone get any new information or have theirs fixed yet?

no but i heard from a buddy with a silver lsj they wouldn't be seeing parts to fix the recalls til the middle of this month.

So then it should be now then, but i don't pay attention to the dates. days just go by.

Any updates in the addition of the ignition cylinder lock?

Bought my car about a month ago dealership (sales man)called me yesterday said I have to get the recall done.I was waiting for a letter for the recall.
Sales department emailed me saying parts should be here about a month,I'm sure all dealers are different,but I would call if I were you.

I haven't heard anything yet. I heard the dealers were supposed to have the parts in as of the 7th this month.

A few of my buddies got thiers done already call your dealer and set up an appointment with them they will know best when to get your car in.

just got the second notice in the mail telling me parts are available, it looks just like the first only it says you should now contact your GM dealer for a service appointment. Also came with a reimbursement form if you paid to have this problem fixed already.

I just got this letter today. My car has turned off on my after hitting a pothole so I'm trying to get it done asap.

I just called to set up an appt for my recall stuff, and they told me 3 weeks.

I own a 2007 SS/NA and I haven't received anything about it. However, my father's 2007 LT is due at the dealership soon for the lock cylinder recall.

I would like this available to me as well. Haven't received anything and car just shut off on its own when I hit a pothole this morning.

so today I finally got a loaner. It takes this actually happening to get anywhere with this. And I tell you it's scary as ****! You can't steer, breaks don't work worth ****! They told me it could be months to get it fixed so till then I join the 2010 impala network......lol

They give you any options for the loander? Or did they just give you the impala?

I got my second notice the other day saying to make an appointment to have the recall performed on my car.
Parts must be there.

I made an appointment with the dealership. The guy said they have over 70 parts ordered and only got 5 in.

you have to go afaik ( I did) to the dealership they check the vin and order the parts. Parts come in, the new keys are coded to the new cylinder, you are called and they install the stuff. All I know.
