Received my GM Grille and Engine block heater for my SS S/C

Hey everyone, I received my front grill for my SS S/C and an engine block heater, since the S/C does not come with one. The grill snaps right in and looks great! The engine block heater is somewhat tough to install from the top as it attaches to the rear of the engine close to the downpipe of the manifold. Easier to do when the car is on a hoist. I know someone else has a factory grill on there SS/SC already. Just thought I would post it. I feel a little more at ease that the intercooler is protected a little bit more. If anyone cares to see pics, just let me know!

I'd be interested to see what the GM grill looks like. I already installed my own, but I didn't know GM was going to be putting one out. (I assume you're talking the lower opening)

I still can't believe GM ships the non-SS models in Canada with the engine block heater (and it's in a very convenient spot as well though not sure how often I'll use it) though on the SS they didn't bother. I wonder if they were maybe assuming a lot of people would put their car away for the winter and drive a beater around for the 6 months and therefore didn't figure it was worth it?

As for the grill...if it is the black one I really like the look of that on the car...seems to complete it (though I don't mind the open gap either) and leaves less room for large rocks to shoot in there and do some real damage.

Haha put it away for winter, that would only leave us canadians with 2 months of driving weather

You mean you expect to drive your $32,000 car longer than that each year...aren't you just selfish . Hell I'm even putting snow tires and rims on the LS because I KNOW the salt will eat right through the coating on the aluminum.

I'm getting snow tires for my SS, just have to figure out what kind. Anyone know a good set and what size to move down to for 5x110 bolt pattern? (I'm assuming nobody makes 18" snow tires)
