Remote Start/Alarm Install HELP!!! 06 cobalt
My daugter has an 06 Cobalt coupe , automatic/ manual windows/ 2.2l ecotech and My wife and I purchased a Crimestoppers SP-501 Remote Start/Alarm combo SecurityPlus™ by Crimestopper and an xpresskit xk06 bypass module using firmware PKG7 Vers. 2 Programmable Platform#06: GM Override Interface and everyone in my area wants to charge an arm and a leg to install so because I used to install these back in the day (10 yrs ago lol) I thought it would be easy. WRONG. The alarm portion is a breeze and finished it in over an 1 1/2 hrs. But I cant for the life of me figure out the remote start. When I press the remote, the car accessories come on (radio, hvac blower, etc), but the car doesnt start. The system retries 3x's then sends signal back to remote(2way remote). I was told that I needed a relay for the ignition portion or the passkey portion of the install, but I thought that the xk06 took care of this. Could anyone please help. Trying to do this before she gets back from college.
Thanks,
Thanks,

Quick update ,got wiring diagram for running relays and tried it according to diagram, but now car still wont start , but if I manually start car, engage the remote start and then pull out key, the car will stay running and I can shut off the car with the remote start . Relay setup as such (R1: pin 87&86 12v constant, 87a-NC, 30 to R2 Pin 87a,85 ground when running,),
(R2: pin 30 to brown accessory wire at the ignition, 86 to the Blue/orange wire (start wire) on Remote start/alarm, 87 NC, 85 to Ground when running). Can any suggest what i may be missing ?
