Resetting oil life

So I got my oil changed today at a Super Lube, and when I go through the DIC to make sure the oil life was reset it wasn't, no biggy I hold down the button to reset it but the problem is it won't. Am I being an idiot or is there something more to it?

Check your owner's manual. I forget the exact process, but it's not in the same area where you reset the trip odo or milage. I believe you get there with the in the run position, but the car is off.

with the key in the run position with the engine off you just step on the throttle three times with-in five seconds and it will reset the oil life, I think you will have to go through the dic to the oil life before you do it though. I changed my oil Friday and tried all the same things and then finally pressed the throttle three times and it went to 100.

I din't know that worked on our cars. The manual says to do it with the console buttons. Key in Run, hold both down to get to the personlization menu. Scroll to oil-life Reset and hit the Reset button.

Exactly. Now I remember...interesting thing about the throttle, though. I just held the reset button - you have to hold it for about 10 seconds for it to reset, I believe. (that kind of pause is beyond idiot-proof, imho - 3 seconds max is fine!)

Yep, hold the reset button down for a couple seconds and then it will say "acknowledged" and reset to 100.

Weird that the method used before the DIC was common still works.
