Seems like every Cobalt SS performance upgrade is discontinued! ???

So, I had a whole list of things to upgrade on my 2007 cobalt SS SC. I've had it since 2009 with an extended warranty.. Now that it is finally out of warranty, I wanted to freshen it up and make some upgrades…

But, it seems like everything is discontinued! Wtf??

GMPP catback exhaust? Gone.
Stage 2 Pulley Kit? Gone.

I can't seem to find anything that I wanted for this car.

Is it just me?

Very Disappointed.
I've taken good care of this car in general, and all it needs is some TLC and to be freshened up.

You can find an exhaust almost anywhere. Zzp, turboxs etc etc. I've never owned an SC but I'm sure there are plenty of vendors on here you could look at that sell pulleys and everything else you need.

what he said ^ contact tom at crate engine depot. really great guy to deal with.

the rest can be had from ZZP.

ive done the staged thing and its satisfying for a short time and then you end up building off of it. Save your money and piece the kit together or offer a pre fabbed kit from ZZP. You will be much happier. Coming from an OG

The exhausts were made to fit cars built 9 years ago. At some point the manufacturers move on because of the new cars being built. It happens.
Had a z28 and tried to find parts 10 years later and ran into the same thing.

it does not need new performance mods to "freshen it up", idiot. try doing something like an oil change or replace the belt. perhaps detail it. That will freshen it up.

wow, thats a little harsh. freshening the car up doesnt always mean matinance. imo, nothing gives you a better feeling than a quick simple mod that changes the car in a big way (like exhaust, or lowering), makes it feel like you just got a whole new car.

parts from gm are almost non existant now. gotta remember that the cobalt is 11 years old now, and the last one made was 6 years ago. the last ss/sc rolled off the line 9 years ago. im sure gmpp stopped producing the stage kits shortly after the last car rolled off the line.

my recomendation would be to look at zzp for stage kits. if you wanted the gmpp exhaust because of the sound, maybe look at the corsa exhaust (if its still around), or a magnaflow.

plenty of people still make performance parts for the integra though. Obviously not dealer performance parts.

Honda is a different market. By comparison ecotecs are a very niche market

CED has all the stage kit stuff for the LSJ still.

Ya just need to contact Tom.

If Tom can't get you what you need, you can always ask around on here and piece a GM stage kit together. Lots of people have those parts laying around. Just gotta ask.

It's actually the same exhaust... Well as the GMPP performance one. The Touring had a larger muffler.

Borla made the GMPP catbacks back in the day.
