Should I trade my 2.2 for an SS/SC?
Ok everyone i want as many opinions as well as ideas as to whether or not this is a good idea or whatnot. heres the story.
I just bought my car not even 8 months ago.
The dealer will buy mine out.
i take it thats that with mine
2005 Cobalt SS/SC
60000 miles
yellow with yellow and black interior.
all original bone stock
gunmetal wheels
no bad history from carfax
pics
wheels are ALL like this.
All tires have new tread
the car is priced at 12795 at the dealer 12900 on the net.
i currently pay 275 a month for my 15000 loan on a new car, what kind of numbers am i looking at with the used.
great credit
no down payment,
is this even a good idea?
do i need to give you any more info lemme know THANKS!!!

i owe 13, they said theyd pay it out idk why... thats the second dealer thats offered that to me, and it makes me think that when chevy said mine was 1 of 5 in this color combo with all ebony interior and 5 spd, i might be missing something. and they said the interior was ok because it was tastefully done.

Obviously the SS/SC vs a 2.2 is going to perform better...
Yeah I'd get the SS/SC, and believe it or not (well for me anyways) the insurance of the SS/SC didn't seem to really be any different from the quote I got on a 2.2L coupe... before I remembered about the SS/SC....
But.... It's going to come down to what you can afford. If you're going to get raped on a trade in, and end up owing alot just to get the SS/SC, financially speaking I'd say just hold on to the 2.2. But that's just my .02
If you can afford it... Go for it...
... That's right I forgot the G85 offers like 100hp?????
So he doesn't get a LSD, plus the recaros....
I opted not to get the G85 when I picked up the lease on my SS/SC just because I wanted the two tone interior which I think looks way more appealing vs the G85...

If all you're going to do is a ricer flyby or roll on the freeway you won't miss the LSD, but if you intend to take corners or race, you will.
All I'm saying is, without the G85 it will feel like a fast 2.2. The LSD makes it feel like a whole different car.

see Dingo speaks the truth.
If your looking to just cruise it and never race then go for the no G85. And for you who didnt get the G85 how about we race with my g85 against your sweet looking 2 tone interior

I would just keep your car and save until you can buy a SS/SC or maybe a SS/TC that has lower miles. Your car is still so new that you are better off keeping it for a while. Plus, when you go from new with low miles to used with higher miles you are going to have more problems that will come up. Also, 60,000 miles on a sporty car can be a lot depending on who owned the car before you. Just sleep on it for a night or seven and make sure you can afford the car and anything that might happen to it.
And, for me at least, the LSD isn't an option. I wouldn't buy a SS/SC or SS/TC with out it.

The LSD will certainly help in the corners, of course.
Oh and in 7 months I'll be driving a SS/TC anyways w LSD AND a two tone interior, the way it should have been with the SS/SC...
