So i hit a rabbit at 80mph.......

So i hit a rabbit at 80mph and completly tore my splitter in half i thought i had gotten lucky that that was it considering i used to work at the dealership so i got a new one free. but the other day i was washing my car and i noticed that my left side radiator/condenser mount seems to be broken (i can wiggle the whiole thing back and forth) i was wondering if anyone knew if that mount is actually part of the radiator i think it is but wanna be sure before i order one.

I wish I had hit a rabbit.

A fully grown dalmation jumped out of a ditch in front of me at 70.

$3,000 in damage

heh, I hit a rabbit myself and did the same damage you described. My radiator started leaking too, I was adding a cup every week.

hit my second rabbit last night going about 60mph little ****** jumped right through front opening and body slammed into a/c cond/ radiator and bent it into a half moon. luckily there is no leaks. my radiator mount has been broken since the last rabbit it hit. I bent the ac condenser back to as close to straight as possible but am worried about pulling on the radiator and heat exchanger so I will prob just leave it until I decide to replace the radiator. hopefully this can wait till I go turbo after the summer.

Wow I hit a rabbit at 80 mph also! Glad I hit it with the tires first. That would have sucked to have had bad radiator, or ac condenser .

the ac condenser doesn't matter I don't use it thankfully it took the grunt of the blow. im not too happy that the heat exchange and radiator are bent into a crest at the bottom and touching but coolant temps seem the same and no leaks.

I noticed the date at the beginning and thought it was all old and there was going to be some new person bump it. That sucks that the new rabbit hit was recent.
