the reason the brake dust sticks to the dip is becasue even the glossifier has a sticky texture to it. nobody ever wants to listen to me until they actually see my stuff, if you dip something and want a gloss finish just use normal gloss clear coat. i did it to my stock tc wheels a couple years ago and when i sold them, it still looked like i just dipped them.

ahhh its only $65 lol The base coat they say you need 2 cans ... is that just regular black gloss ? So 2 cans of black and then 2 cans of metallic ?

thats funny cuz i did that with my bow tie on the front and its holding up good. I dindt want to us the gloss on the wheels because i read that the paint gloss melts the dip a little and gives it a crumbled look. So i didnt do it on the wheels cuz thats much harder to re do then the bow tie lol

that's what I don't get. if I want red....what is my base color supposed to be? I don't want to spray red on top of black? it will darken it im assuming? that's why I was hesitant, not much info on this....

no base needed for the red.... its a gloss color so it just goes directly onto the surface.

the metallic colors are the ones that need the base color.

Yeah see its holding up haha. if the clear coat didnt melt the dip on the bowtie it wont on the wheels lol. like i said ive never had any issues with using a gloss clear coat, i always did light coats until i got a gloss finish that i wanted. i did my wheels and 3 other sets of wheels like that for friends lol.
