Yeah I was so damn pumped when gm finally brought something out to run with the imports. It's a damn shame it went downhill so fast.

^ it looked pretty bad ass. although everyone says on it's like another cavalier. i'd say there are probably some aspects that make them close in looks but in performance, no way. i would have like to see it go at least half as long as the cavalier did though. such a shame but still great that GM brought something out there to compete. i'm a fan and will be long after most of them are gone from the roads.

90's import? You do realize the ss tc is only half a second behind the famed r32 cryline, and destroys the r34 and 33. Not to mention it's as fast an an m3 which is 3 times it's price tag.

The cobalt actually handles great and I'd be willing to bet my bottom dollar that it'd EASILY beat my old ATS 2.0 RWD around the track. Yeah the steerings a bit wide but the LSD does a great job of keeping it in line and even the reviews praise it's handling and say it's "trick diff is sublime" it whoop cars that cost 3X as much and those 90's cars you're thinking of cost that much more to counting inflation, either you have no CLUE what you're talking about or your just another supra/RX7/Skyline fanboy

Just think how it would have done with the factory gms1 package. That extra 60 ft lbs of torque coming off the corners would have helped.

I thought the exact same thing, gms1 and a hardcore bar could knock off an easy 20 seconds.
