Didn't put this in the regional forums because it crosses two regions with Wisconsin and Illinois. Earlier this month we put together a meet for those of us that live close to the WI/IL border. Sometimes the WI meets and the Chicago meets are just too far for those of us in the Suburbs to make it to. We had a good turnout of 11 cars that met up at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Kenosha, WI then we cruised out to Lake Geneva. All of us agreed it would be worth it to have meets for the "Border" people in addition to whatever the Wisconsin and Chicago clubs are doing.

Great meet guys. Excited about the turn out and glad people came through and showed up. Cruise was great...some nice twisties and long straits to have a little fun....would definately be up for that ride again....got a couple pics at the lake and from the end of the cruise when we had 4 wide on 94

Looks like we are trying to set up the next meet for Sunday May 6th at HuHot in Kenosha.
So...lets start a "Who's in" list for Sunday May 6th so I can call the restaurant and see what kind of deals/accomodations they can make for us. Please include how many people in total(including yourself and any guests). Also vote what time for the reservation, 12:00 pm, 12:30 pm, 1:00 pm, 1:30 pm

just ordered my clutch, going to pick my motor up this week or next. Should be running next week.

 

How far are you from Kenosha? Sounds good. We should def have enough room. We just got people together this past weekend so I don't think we will be getting togher until early April.

Need some input from people about the cook out idea.....who has a portable grill they could bring? What dates will work for people? Saturday or Sunday? We've got the weekend of the 31st/1st....or the 7th/8th.....????

We are planning on making it at a minimum a monthly thing so if we miss ya in April there will be more meets. Where in Illinois are you?

 

Maybe early next week? But new brakes, wheels, ect aren't going on for like a month

Nice. Don't make it out that way very often. Almost bought an ss from ray Chevy out there but it already had over 1000 miles on it from sales people driving it. Was black too. Would e been awesome

WI GM-Tuners March 2012 Meet

 

Huh, grew up in Kenosha...many many days spent at the lake!

Too bad I'm in las Vegas now, but such is life.

 

We should shoot for the weekend of April 6-8. My son and girlfriend will be home that weekend and I would like to bring them.

 

I like the cookout idea. No grill, but I will bring food, probably some homemade at that!

Saturdays are better for me. I vote the 7th. Weekend of the 31st/1st is GLD opener, and I'm also trying to get Chicago Ecotec to have their meet then.

 

Anyone know if there's any E stations in the Kenosha area?...

 

There's one off 94 & 158(S)?, have to go north of Kenosha two exits? Pricey though, Racine is where the cheap E85 is.

 

It's 94/142 aka Hwy S, it's pricey there. Hwy 20/94 (Kwik Trip) has it too and it's only two exits past the one for GLD.

 

Ding ding, that's more what I'm concerned about. Two exits north isn't bad.

 

I'm down to go in April for sure and I have a propane portable grill I'll stop on the way to the meet to pick up some brats and burgers

 

Ive got a grill I can prob borrow from my brother that is a little bigger than most portable. The 8th is Easter so lets shoot for the 7th. I'm going to try and get that day off. What time do people want to start this? And who all is in? I can update the original post to include date and time and start a list of what people are bringing......
