This meet will probably be a joint meet with Chicago Ecotec (which is near dead since most of our members are in the south suburbs, and they refuse to travel more than 10 minutes away) so we could in theory have a really good turnout.

 

Sounds good. I will be there with my boys. Wife has a bridal shower or something to go. Won't get to debut her SS/NA sedan......

The next meet is the Crate Engeine Depot annual Cobalt meet June 21st-23rd.

 

Better yet, it will be the 20th, hanging out in the parking lot of the hotel to welcome people who are in early for the weekend.

It's a Chicago Ecotec tradition to do this. We all just go up and hang out, and then all go home again. haha. Chicago has two rooms for the weekend, for Thur and Fri nights only though.

maybe ill head out there tonight. Need to practice for the ced meet next week, so i dont look like a complete noob

 

So...I know CED just ended but I wanted to get a head start on trying to set up a July meet. I've heard alot of people have seen new balts in the area and wanted to try to get everyone together again in July. Who has ideas on when and where?

 

No idea where but it seems the place kind of by the lake coastline you guys go to is working out. i'd be down to meet there sometime, i SHOULD be free this month all weekends... should ( ._.)

 

I would be cool with going back to the lake there in Kenosha we were at for... May, was it?

I know we have to reserve it now, so let's get this going!

Any Sunday in July works for me. I know Antone contacted the Park District last time so maybe he can do that again and see whats available and if there are any fees. I will text him. We could do like last time and everybody signs up to bring something.

 

There's also that place right the lake rigt by the light house.. There is plenty of space there

 

Right by the lighthouse has been turned into a roundabout and there isnt much parking there anymore. A little north of the lighthouse is lots of room but the road back there is total ****. I drove that road before we decided on the last spot by the lake. There might be some room over closer to all those condos just south of the lighthouse by those museums....not sure if we could cookout there though.

 

We could also probably do it at the Rex Plex right on Lake Marie or whatever it's called. Pretty nice area.

 

Also the 15th or 29th would better for me personally bc I have to work on the 22nd. Going to a meet and then having to go to work really sucks.
