Oh and this cobalt is pretty much stock, such as transmission, exhaust and so on

Hey, I live with and SRT-4 owner. I don't mind em!
Whenever he feels the need to say I don't have the SS/SC, I just tell him that he owns a neon! Haha. Goog times.

The comparison will always be there but I can tell ya from first hand experience that srt4 owners usually have a chip on their should and tha ya line up and beat or keep up with them and they turn into pretty coo guys.

I think the SRT-4 and Cobalt SS are destined to have a rivalrly similar to that of the Mustang and Camaro.
In my opinion, the SRT-4 and SS/SC both represent the very definition of what a "muscle car" should be. Before you flame me, hear me out;
The guys on spike TV's "Muscle Car" define one as a "RWD+2doors+V8". But in reality, real muscle cars were the stripped down high performance vehicles that you could get for cheap. They could be anything from a turbo V6 family car to a V8 powered sport compact.
They sacrificed rediculous luxuries in exchange for pure "go-fast". In my opinion, the supposed "muscle cars" of today have the performance, but are too bloated with extra fluff and are priced WAY out of young males price range (GTO, Cobra, Charger, and even Mustang GT)
"Muscle Car" is an ideal, not a classification. And no two cars exhibit that better than the Neon SRT-4 and the Cobalt SS/SC.

I agree fully. The SRT-4 and SS/SC are like the reincarnation of muscle cars...ofcourse the SRT-4 has been replaced by the Caliber but it's still on the road and you can tell that these little cars were were designed with their forefathers in mind. it's like the dad who's son grows up to be a pro athelete. I'm sure somewhere there's a 69 camaro all teary-eyed as he watches my SS/SC destroying other cars in races. That Camaro is thinking to himself "You did me proud son, you did me proud"
