Stock boost on 2009 SS/TC

Ok this may sound dumb, but I've never had a turbocharged car before so I'm not sure nkw the boost works I did have a 06 supercharged and I know it hit more boost at a certain RPM. But I just bought this car two days ago and took it out tonight first time and was watching the boost gauge and I stepped on it and at about 3-3500 RPMs I was only hitting like 10.9-11 PSI. I didn't give it anymore. Will it hit the factory boost which I believe is supposed to be around 15 at a Higher RPM like the supercharged ones did or what? Sorry for a stupid question. Just a newbie on the turbos. Any help be appreciated thanks.

WTF are you beating on a car that is not at operating temp?

Wasn't beating on it. I don't think going to 3500 RPMs is beating on it to me.

If you are throttling in enough to build that much boost that low; you are loading the engine too much. Aka, beating on it.

I can see your point. I'm new to turbos. I had just a supercharged before...so warmed up is when they show more boost correct and never run them unless there warmed up

On these cars you do not want to build high boost in the lower RPMs. You never want to get a lot of load on an engine before it is at operating temp.

Will it heating up change your boost, probably not. Get on it mid 3rd gear and run it to redline; like 3500 to 6500rpm. Report back what your boost numbers are.

Also, elevation changes boost pressures so that needs to be taken into account.

In Florida I made 16psi on my m62. In the West VA mountains it made a mere 12psi. Same tune. Same pulley.
