Hey guys i have a 2006 cobalt ss coupe. I bought the car with a after market intake. Now the intake runs down close the ground next to my tire. Now i had problems with getting the filter wet and i was told to put a hydroshield on it which i did. All went well until last night i was driving in the rain and my car started jerking back and forth. I had to pull over, remove the filter and dry it up then went home. I am constantly doing this every time it rains and im tired of it. Anyone can tell me where i can buy the stock intake cheap so i don't have to deal with this problem anymore and risk hydrolocking my motor.....

i have a stock intake off an 07 SS/SC, is that what your looking for?

Does ur car have the inner tire splash guard? I have a zzp intake no hydroshield and have never had this issue.

Vander Narrs, No it doesnt have it on there. The front bumber is aftermarket

There's your problem.

A hydroshield is water repellant not waterproof.

yea, its just the stock one, pulled it out when i put in my aftermarket. As soon as i get home ill send you a pic of it. pm me your phone # and ill send the picture message to your phone

That is ur problem then u need to find a way to get that install into that aftermarket bumper.
