To supercharge or get a second car?
So I was wanting to go stg 2 supercharged, but looking at the costs of just the kit and the gauges alone that would put me just under 3k, and thats not including any of the bolt-on upgrades I would need(i.e. hdr/dp/ctbk, intake, internals, ...). So now I'm thinking for about the same cost as going FI I could just buy a second car for fun, and keep the G5 as my DD. I was think about a V8 4th gen Camaro/Firebird but am not at all dead set on that car, so I need some opinions/suggestions.

Build up a BBC and toss it in. You will never get bored of it lol
This has been my dream for years now, but all the 280's I find are too nice to cut up, or too far gone. No in between.

3k to supercharge? nah. but i'd leave the g5 and get something else...if you're lookin for cheap find a cheap honda shell and pop in a boosted b or k. you can find alot of boosted b's rangin from mild to wild for sale on hondatech that are nice. there was a teggy for sale sleeved pistoned synapse kit for 7k, which is crazy considering it was prob 20k for all that **** at the least...if you want a v8 than your suggestion would be the cheapest just gotta shop around.

This is what I had picked out from zzp. If I were to do that I would get the bolt-on kit from them cause I don't know enough about the subject to piece together my own kit. Plus thats the cost for just stg 1, stg 2 is another $175.

Not really a set budget, but would like to stay around 5k for the car then mod it over time. I'm not opposed to imports at all either, like the mr2 or the aforementioned 280. May sell the bike in the spring to allow for high purchase price though.

I dont know about where you live, but having to have insurance on the second car would mean that your always going to be paying more money, even if it is just bare minimum
