i dont really....B&M shiftplus will firm up the shifts under part throttle conditions to not see any clutch slip, and WOT is already set, with the B&M there just making it even stronger

not the best method...but i see it not quite as a band aid, but as a giant medically wrapped bandage to a moderate cut....there will be some premature wear until i can get the tranny tuned, but nothing too bad, especially if i limit the number of hgh boost non WOT shifts the car makes

Definatly let me know how that goes. I heard from more than one guy that b&m wont work. I dont think tey've tested it, but then again I dont see why it would throw a fault.....

i know its supported, but i dont think i can flash it....similar t the 07 2.2 ecu....the ecu itself is already supported by HPT, but they need to do something so you can flash it through the cobalt....

ill do a little research into it

The tranny will be fine, these things are rated for 325lb/ft of torque, it's right in the GM database. I posted a link a few posts back

mechanically yes, but you need to tune the tranny to shift under 220hp instead of 130hp, or else you'll get clutch slip

we pretty much said the following
"you need to tune your engine to keep a safe AFR ratio
"the engines fine, its rated at 300hp"

see what i mean?

Yeah i was talking about clutch slip. I actually suggested the b&m as a way to get around the auto tranny problem with F/I awhile ago, with some disappointing answers (i want to go turbo this spring) and yeah, half cent could probly explain the technical answer better than I could. But on a side note, none of them have ever actually tryed any of this, so it could all be wrong, and it could work perfect for you. like I said, keep me posted for sure. When do you plan on hooking this all up?

you know how the 07 2.2's arent supported by HPT yet? you know how the ECM in the 07 2.2's IS supported? i think its the same thing with the TCM

its call displacement! Same if i SC my 2.4 w/ a stock pulley, it would probably pull on a ST2 2.0 cobalt. The stock 2.0 motor only(no sc) only puts down ~130hp. The stock 2.2 puts down about the same (~130hp), & with the extra displacment this could easily hit the 215-220 mark on the LS...

btw +rep for doing it proper!!

This is all very intense and interesting, Hunterkiller could break new grounds for all of us in the 2.2l world.

Mad props to you man, I hope everything goes smoothly and nothing breaks on you.*knocks on wood*
If you succeed you can bet alot of money that alot of other people will start trying the same things to get similar results, it would be funny as heck to see someone with a 2.2l auto, pop the hood and a big super charger is sitting on the throttle body assembly.

Definitely keep us all posted as much as possible about your progress or lack of.
This should be stickied or something.

Ordered the AEM FIC and the UEGO wideband today, brought the total cost of the project thus far to $2k exactly. Im expecting to spend another grand on installing the F/IC and buying a header/downpipe combo with an extra bung for the wideband

[QUOTE=HunterKiller89;1501451]102hp, and its simple really....especially since i have a 3.0" pulley in addition to a 3.34" pulley...so its really just my choice

leave it....its almost the same as a ss s/c, ill just have to retard ignition timing a bit more than they do

Fair enough, I was just curious. Hope it works out.
