BIIIG update since its been a while. THE FIC works great. Im using it now to keep the car at a constand 12.5:1 AFR when WOT opposed to the previous lean 14.5:1 that started dropping down to 11:1 after 4kRPM

Ive got a Boost gauge, 2 interceptors to monitor knock, AFR gauge up and running, and im currently planning out my tune with trifecta to remove basic restrictions (removing PE delay, including MAF clamp since the FIC cant adjust frequency based MAF signals, adding timing for conditions outside of boost since ill now be running 91 octane, SAI programming, etc) Vince has been very helpful with this. Ive got a pretty good amount of money saved up for installation on all of this stuff, about $900 plus an extra $750 i can charge on my credit card should complications arrise. As soon as my trifecta tune arrives, Im taking my cobalt to the shop to get the SC installed, and will then tune immediately after. The next couple of weeks should be interesting

just to clear this up. yes the stock cavalier/sunfire ecotec alt will work but it spins backwards with an m62 supercharger installed. the fins to cool the alt will not work efficient and will burn up the alt.

f/ic should be labeled heat exchanger. unless you are doing something totally different on cavy. haven't seen any pics of your install. hpt works great for s/c install on a cavy. you can't change the tune however once it's been reflashed by the dealership. you are better off lookin on j-body.org for info as it's more geared towards to the cavy side of the supercharger install. cobalts and cavy's aren't the same ecu.

i've been runnin my supercharger for 3 months now.
