I posted this over in the L61 forums because that is the engine I have but I didn't receive much input so I figured I would see if I can get some answers here in general cobalt.

The main things I am trying to figure out for sure is if the LSJ harmonic balancer will fit on my 2006 L61 engine. Ultimately my plan is to install an ATI super damper but I really just want the standard size pulley. I don't understand why it is only available in overdrive or under-drive.

So is there a 6-rib ATI damper for the L61 engine or do I buy the balancer made for the LSJ engine?

I was also wondering if I need to swap to the LSJ AC compressor or if you can swap the pulley from the LSJ compressor and install it onto L61 compressor. What other parts may I need to do this?

So far I have collected
-LSJ alternator
-LSJ belt tensioner assembly with bracket
-LSJ idler pulley

Unless I am mistaken the only remaining components I need are
-LSJ AC compressor or pulley???
-LSJ ATI harmonic balancer???

If you have experience with this subject your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

The L61 pulley is also specd only for over or underdrive?

 

ecotec covers are the same no reason you cant use an lsj crank pulley

 

My two main questions are:

-What harmonic balancer do I buy for the L61 engine? Are all Cobalt Ecotec's crank pulleys interchangeable? Does ATI provide a STOCK SIZE pulley at all?

-Will the pulley from an LSJ AC compressor swap onto an L61 AC compressor? If not, is the LSJ compressor plug and play if I were to swap complete compressors?
