Supercharger or Turbocharger for a 2.2L

Hey guys I have a 2010 2.2L Cobalt and I want to add some more power via a supercharger or turbocharger. Is one better than the other? I don't want to make no 500hp car but i want to get up around 250 or close to 225 at the wheels. I have been liking the idea of a supercharger but I thought I would get some opinions from the world wide web! Thanks!

You can get to 225 reliably with a supercharger kit. The basic kit would pretty much put you there especially if you open the exhaust a bit.
If your not afraid of used parts you could get a kit damn cheap.

Is it a takeoff or just a bolt on? Like the zzp kit? If it is a take off i would probably need the adapters and whatnot.

Those types of kits are difficult to install and use compared to a ZZP kit.
it has a 2.8" pulley which is too small for a stock 2.2
It has an LSJ style pulley setup which won't work with 2.2 crank
it has 42# injectors which have different connectors than the EV6 on the 2.2
there's other issues as well. a lot of people don't realize this and get in over their head with a lot of extra costs. that's why we designed the zzp kit as we did.

For someone just wanting extra power who doesn't want to learn a ridiculous amount of ****: Agree.

For someone who is resourceful, can't stand not knowing things, and refuses to let others do the work: Disagree.

In this case I agree.

Like others have stated, I would suggest going with a supercharged set up. Especially since you do not want to make crazy power. The supercharger will be perfect for you. Tons of torque and a good increase in horsepower.
