but these guys usually drive the cars with the same people at the same track, so most tests should be pretty damn close. I have yet to race a SS but I think I could handle it, and stock for stock I think the SRT will be beaten off the line, but It'll make that up befor you reach the end of the 1/4 mile

A SS/SC can easily hang with a SRT-4 and no the SRT-4 doesn't pull on a SS above 80mph. How do you expect anyone who has knowledge of cars to think otherwise? Every SRT-4 I see I pick on and I have yet to regret doing so. The only one that even beat me was running 18-20psi.

i have no beef with anyone on this board...please dont make me change my mind.
im sorry admins, i really am.. but you all are fine, just some people are living in a fantasty world.
on a side note...i did have a run in with an ss s/c. did i slaughter him? no. it was from about 35 or so, and we went up to about 100 (iirc), and i immeditaly put about a car or so between him and me, and thats where he stayed.
if an average driver (im not great) is in BOTH cars, the avg. driver driving the "faster" car will win.
230whp > 210whp with a decent driver.

Hey jerk, the advantage the SS has is off the line. Do you know anything about these cars? The SS has a supercharger giving it a big advantage in the fact thatit doesn't need to wait for the turbo to spool. Racing an SRT from a roll is playing to the advantage of the SRT
It has traction and the turbo should be spooled!

Now the Cobalt....We'll...I test drove the SRT-4 before buying my Cobalt. And let me tell you. I like the way the Cobalt looks better.

SRT4 is faster. No question in my mind about it. Its faster from almost any speed to. There might be a few RPMs where the cobalt can walk it for a short race; but i dont see beating them in my cobalt. Hell, I've had a few scares racing them in my camaro.(haven't lost yet though) I like the way the Cobalt handles. It feels tighter. I liked the Interior better. And I like the way it looks.
But I might be a little bais.

youre not biased evil.. even though it looks like a revamped civic (to me) i still like the ss s/c.
and you bought it cause you liked it. thats all there is to it, no biased involved. i bought the srt casue i liked it (and they couldnt push the ss s/c's out fast enough for me.....). and the srt was cheaper
