Test pipe or down pipe

Hey guys my cobalt ss already has cat back exhaust but it's not loud enough can I add a test or down pipe? Which one would be better? Which one replaces the cats?

A downpipe is just that, the downpipe from the header/manifold. A 'test' pipe is known as a catless pipe to verifiy smoother flow to determine catalytic converter plugging up. Pretty much is a catless/off road downpipe. You can go that route if you can tune out the rear O2 sensor which will trip a CEL in due time.

Where can I get a down pipe for my 2007 cobalt ss? So if I got a down pipe I can just add it to my cat back exhaust?

You have multiple threads covering the same topic. Instead of asking about test pipes here and which downpipe to get in another thread you could of covered both in the same thread.

Can we get a Mod to join the threads.

Just helping you out. You're bumping old threads. It's cluttering up the forum and annoys members that have been around for a while. Plus having some threads merged would help for more complete answers and understanding.

All the questions you've asked have been answered before. We're not here to hold your hand through each step of modifying your car. We get you're excited but take little time and read.
