Is there anything at all that you don't like about the Cobalt SS?
The one thing that aggravates me is that there isn't enough lighting. Because of the sunroof, GM only puts two little lights on the mirror?

Yeah I dont like the lighting either. I also dont like that the sunroof isnt automatic. I wish they would come out with a more modern headlight but I guess that keeps costs down. I wish that the stock rotors were better...given they are better than any of the former new GM cars I have owned.

Trunk opening. We have tons of roomin the trunk, enough to fit 3 hockey equipment bags, but lacks the opening to fit any kind of boxed item in it.

The ugly E-brake and its flimsiness. I had an HHR rental and the E-brake felt and looked great, but the flimsy block in the Cobalts suck. I hate the way it looks and feels.

The only thing I really don't like is the visibility. I'm really leary backing out of parking spots because I feel like I can't see crap. Other then that I'm pretty much 100% satisfied.
edit: The ride height is also too high, there is too much wheel gap in stock form. That's an easy fix though.

also the cruise controle and the mute steering wheel controles (07) are a little in the way, (big hands).
also gas milage, I dont know if its correct, but the thing reads like 20 mpg. Is this because its still on the first tank of gas/not settled in?

1. Steering wheel... I need it closer!!
2. Recaro seats.. while they are comfy and supportive, i feel like im up driving an SUV
3. Weak axles
4. Trunk opening.. Way too small (couldnt get my christmas gift home)
5. Wing.. Why couldnt i get it without one.. dang useless rearview mirror.
6. Pistons. if GM took the time to do the engine right instead of rushing to production we woulda had better. (although you cant really break them with a good tune with less than 300hp)
7. Armrest.. what armrest?
8. XM is great.. but paying for radio? umm no. So dont tease me dammit
9. Transmission gearing, 1st is way too short and 3rd too tall.. who knows..
10. Turning Radus.. wtf.. its a cobalt, i shouldnt have a fulsize pickup be able to turn sharper.
Dont let this discourage anyone from buying one, I still think its the best DD i have ever had.

Don't like the PRICE! $5,000 - $10,000 more for an SS 2.4 than a base/loaded LS. I looked at a loaded 07 SS 2.4 that was $10,000 more than my minor-optioned LS (SS sticker was $23,369 w/no incentives my LS was $13,369 w/incentives).
The performance of the 2.4 and upgrades don't equal $10,000 IMO! For $23K the performance should be the same as the SS/SC.

also they added several standard on 07 2.4 ss models like the pioneer system and XM wich were options in 06. so that sould explain the cost hike...

The only thing I hate is the damn DIC! Why can't we just have a gauge for temp, and what not! I don't want to push a damn button to see what my engine temp is, and I don't need my car telling me "ICE POSSIBLE!" I know it's F'IN COLD I JUST GOT IN THE CAR! And the gearing is off.... 1st gear is a waste... If it went to even 35-40 would be great rather than 25ish or whatever! But other than that LOVE THE CAR! Just stupid minor little things!
