I have been dealing with throttle by wire for about 3 years on my 2000 SAAB. I would have to agree that it sucks!!

I dont like the car having so much control that it can close my throttle body at will. No on the Cobalt do you have what we in the saab world refer to as "LIMP HOME MODE" ? This basically keeps the TP 1/2 way closed when your foot is in the pedal all the way so that you cant "Damage your motor". I know good theory but it happens at the stupidist times!!

it's absolutely absurd. there's like 0 throttle response. makes driving stick more difficult. i just drove a talon with an actual throttle cable and it feels so much better.

it's poop i tell you! poop!

the thing that sucks about it is that only SMG is the only company helping out with this in the slightest, they have a tb out for the 2.2 and a tb eventually comming out for the 2.4. Is the 2.2 guys the only ones that are not computer controlled

exactly. i mean i thought it was great when cars had ecus, but all this electronic stuff is getting out of hand. its getting to the point that complete retards can drive a car because the car is basically driving for them. the person still has more control over it, so that can get scary.

I WANT MY CONTROL BACK! lol
