Time to fix the idle the expensive way...

So today I'm finally getting my idle fixed hopefully.
It's been going on for a while now and idle hunts constantly for over a year. I then tried cleaning the throttle body which only made it worse.
So yesterday I bought a brand new throttle body assy, and new maf sensor assy
I'm having this guy use his tool and try to re learn the idle or flash the pcm. My total came out to 749.00 I sure hope she runs good after all this. Tired of it running like ****.

On the good news side my autodip paint is coming in the mail tomorrow and I'm about to paint the interior dash trim artic whitw gloss.
I'll post pics when complete!

You got charged 749 for a TB that doesn't require a relearn and a new maf sensor assembly?

I've got some ocean front property in Colorado I'll sell to you for a good deal

There is a idle reset, I would have done a reset before buying anything.

He tried the idle reset already. And I've taken my car all over to shops around here in Tacoma Washington and no one knows how to fix it. And I'm not taking it to a Chevy dealer. All the dealers around my area are terrible and wouldn't trust any of their work.
Ya throttle body and all and a new sensor
Plus diagnostic.... I know it was alot but i have messed around with it for to long and couldn't find a fix. my pockets are empty right now

Tried looking for vacuum leaks? Check your plugs? Look for exhaust leaks?

Well heres where im sittiing at. He got it to idle well, and we drove it around for a bit with nothing wrong, then the idle shot up again, so apparently there are two brands that make the throttle body, we are trying the other tb and he said if he cant get that to work hes gonna refund me. He gave me one of his cars to ride around in for now until tomorrow. If he cant solve it im gonna have to get brave and go see the horrible chevy dealers in my area....

I had a new engine put in my car, ended up having the high idle problem. Tried a lot of the tricks that I found on the web, disconnecting the battery, forcing the idle by slipping the clutch, nothing worked. Several people said that replacing the TB didn't fix the problem either. A lot of people said that the only thing that fixed it was taking it to the dealer and getting the ECM flashed. So after several days of trying to fix it myself, I ended up taking the car to the dealer and getting the ECM flashed. 30 minutes and $90 later... Fixed it!
