Yeah I was upset because I really don't like how the tail lights look on the sedan lol
It was actually a Highway Patrol pulled me over in town. He was driving the opposite direction busted a U turn and got me lol my lights only had a 20% tint..

If you do them correctly, by following your states laws, they are fine.
Most states require that the light that shines still has to be red. This is what a lot of people do wrong, by tinting them poorly, they reduce the light from red to brown.

my best advice is look into your state laws. most arent completely illegal. most just say they have to be seen from a certain distants and have to shine red.

id probably make a bet that you pass the wrong cop in any state you will get a ticket.
ive had "illegal" tail light tint on every car ive ever had, but ive never been "civic" stupid, and done it so dark so you cant see your running lights. so thats probably why i dont have an issue.

[QUOTE=RobSSsedan;6452166]Whaddya talkin about? Out-of-state plates are a goldmine for CA cops. They'll ticket you for anything, since you'll never come to court and end up just paying it (and CA is soooo broke, it's stoopid).

[QUOTE=brainchasm;6452180]Yeah true CA is broke, But he should be good with passing through here with Windows tinted and tail lights since he don't live out here and his state probably allows tinted windows.

The cops use that as an excuse to stop you, they already know most of the time they cannot give you a ticket, but they want to find someone without a license or no insurance or maybe something bigger.
