Traction Control

How do you tell if your car has T/C? If my wheels spin, it say's "Low Traction" and the T/C light in the Message Center comes on once in a while.

Does that mean my car is equipped with T/C?

Thanks,
Justin

If it says "low traction" then you probably have traction control.

Does it seem to bog down after you spin your wheels?

not really, I mean a little, but nothing ridiculous......Its only been in the rain so far, so I doubt that its gonna make that big of a difference.......

Maybe I'll have to wait until the damned snow arrives........

Thanks

if you have an auto ls than u have traction control. The only way to turn it off is to put it in first gear. I had a ton a fun with it at the end of last winter.

not all auto trannys have the "I". To my knowledge none of the 2005 have it. The ones that I know have the "I" is the 2.4ss. but yes use either. There is no way to turn off trc for all 4 gears. dont take the trc for granted though you could still get stuck or lose controle...

t/c is not standard with an auto trans. Base models have no abs or t/c.. It is a feature included with the ls/lt.. you think you paid 4 grand more than a base model for aluminum rims and a chrome exhuast tip?

actually, my base cobalt has t/c.....it came along with the abs as an added option.....the only way i know to turn it off is to pull the parking brake up to the first notch.....

yeah i honestly thought that if you had ABS and an auto it came with traction control. I have an LS so i honestly think i got traction control. I do remember reading it on numerous reviews. So im guessing its on there.

Please, guys, when you say you have an LS mention the year. 2006 LS is 2005 Base.
