Weird Power Loss?
Ok so a friend of mine came back in from college the other day and it was the first time he'd seen the balt. He talked about how he was wanting one and while we were out he asked if he could drive and he was a friend so i didnt see anything wrong with letting him take a turn behind the wheel. Well we stop at a light and there was no one there so he was like hows it take off and i said its pretty good for just being an LS. Well without me really paying attention he shifts into neutrual and when the light goes green he floors it and "neutrual drops" my car. At that point im just like WTF? and he looks at me and says i think i broke your car cause im flooring it and its not doing anything. The RPMs were very low and it was like the car just wouldnt go, then all the sudden it was just like the car woke up and took off and everything was normal. Now ive had my fun with older cars ive had and they never acted like that but ive never dropped the balt so im kinda wondering what happened and did he mess anything up?

You can't rev an LS over 4000 in netrual. Its some kind if safty feature to protect the engine.
Maybe it somehow engaged the traction control which made the engine drom rpm.
I would have told him to get out, and left him there for about 20 mins or so.

You have an automatic. Your engine went into ABUSE MODE. The transmission and motor communicate and when the driver does something that is viewed as abnormal, the engine pulls a certain amount of torque from the engine to prevent it from causing damage. In this case the neutral drop from higher RPMs created teh highest percentage of reduction.
