i mean yeah you have specialty shops, and i'd trust SOME dealerships maybe... but a lot of times the specialty shop is going off alldata granted i've yet to find a flaw, but i dont use it often i stick to GM Global Connect

I wouldn't worry about not having brakes if your abs module is bad, I can almost guarnty GM engineered it to fail open, so if the module is bad then you just don't have ABS but your brakes still function. I would be surprised if the snap-on only energized half, sounds like the module is bad or at least half of it is

Still in the same place. Brakes work. Not great, but they work. I drove a band new 2013 Malibu for the last few days while I was on vacation. Brakes on it felt head and shoulders better than my Brembo equipped Cobalt. Felt better, stopped better.

I'm betting on damaged speed sensor in a hub or the computer has just lost its cookies... I'm still betting its defaulted into some sort of ICE mode because of that. my LNF car used to randomly throw service ECS/ABS messages at me during mountain runs... turn the car off and on and it was fine lol

I agree Kyle. Tom @ CED was thinking that too. If I could get ahold of a tech2 you can, I'm told, record all for speed sensors and play them back together. if one is wrong it'll be obvious.
The other question I had was, of I go from the stock 225/30 to 235/40 do I have to somehow recalibrate them?

Only just seen this thread. I suspect you have an issue with the rear brakes and with air in the system. should not need an abs bleed but a tech 2 is an easy procedure. You may need a
rear brake service and adjust rear piston height. bleed brakes rr/lf/lr/rf etc.
I noticed my RL tonight that the pedal was longer than the SAAB and I may need to look at it . If I trip over anything I will let you know but it wont be tomorrow I have too much going on. PS I got your pan, and I have a trap door ready so tell me when.

Thanks john. I'll email you tomorrow about the pan. I've been thinking about the back brakes too. Even with new brakes the parking brake has a long throw. I wonder if those self adjusters are not self adjusting. I do now have the ABS working, which is good. Low pedal still. I'll have to take the rears apart Saturday.

check the calipers if its a 2008 and you track it just buy a set of new calipers and put yourself out of your misery. then adjust the pistons out so its a snug fit for the caliper pad assembly to the rotor.
be good
