This is an awful question. SC can be better in situtation like auto-x or road course were turbo lag could kill you, but if your talking about the two Cobalts, the TC is the only way to go. Look at how much power it has at 2000 rpm. Its way more then you could ever ask for. TC > SC as far as the Cobalts go.

after owning a turbo'd car and a supercharged car...turbo all the way..nothing like feeling boost build and just keep pounding you back in your seat

i just look at it this way, everyone has a turbo car around here, gti's, wrx, evo, audi's, srt-4's all of them, but when u hear my blower screaming people turn around and say WTF!??!?!? and see its a little 4 banger screaming, and say dam, like no one has ever heard the way a blower sounded since everyone has turbo, until i came along and modded some and that thing screams like no other, and im one of those people who likes to be different than everyone else, anyone else like this?

you cant ask or answer this question fairly as only one car is out right now. For all we know GM may have put limitations on the TC cobalts as they did with the 5.3L Impalas and Montes.

the only reason you get that reaction is because alot of people didnt even no that the ss came supercharged they were all stunned when they saw it....you will get the same reaction once you have a blow off on your ss/tc people will be like what the **** i thought they were supercharged!!!!!

I just dont think alot of people know what a SC sounds like.....they see all these 240's and skylines daily and get used to the BOV and turbo on em.. how ofter do you hear a SC whine as a car screams past you? A SC is unique. Its nice...

False, in the situation with the Cobalt SC vs TC, the TC will do far better as in auto-x car, but only in this case that I can think of.

cobalt turbo isnt out yet so you cant compare it to the s/c version, its just all talk, so in general turbo vs blower, not cobalt t/c vs cobalt s/c

SAE HP and TQ graph has been released and it has more torque then the SC sooner.

why would a turbo kill you on a road course or auto-x???? a properly sized turbo will be better in almost ANY racing situation than a supercharger. It's just the way it is guys. Don't come back at me with "no thats not true! TURBO LAG!!!! AHHHH!!!" i drive a supercharged car, i love the feel of a twin-screw, love the sound of the roots, and i love the power delivery of a centri car (so easy to drive), but turbo > blower 95% of the time. It's that simple. You have much greater efficiency, if you piece it together properly you can reach peak torque sooner, you can control boost levels more easily, etc.

uhhh...yea cause turbo 240's and skylines are so common...

if you can drive...turbo and supercharged cars with the same peak power levels... turbo > blower. you guys say, "well look at turbo lag until 2300 rpm's!" and whatever...how ******* often are you under 3.5k when you are racing in any type of race? I'll give you the answer...you should never be. So turbo car vs blown car, both should be in or near peak boost at all times.

Have you even driven a turbo car that lags in an auto-x or road course situation. I didn't think so. If the turbo can deliever the power down low then it will be better then a supercharger, but that doesn't always work.

no, i've never raced in a dodge spirit r/t. Obviously you have never had experience with a properly built turbo car, or you don't know how to drive the ones you have had experience in.
