what do you think a 300 whp cobalt is comparable to?
#27
Well first off, your not going to beat any muscle car, be it Camaro, trans am, gto, anything simply because in muscle cars theres something you dont have and cant possibly have, which is torque. Not to mention my Camaro stock made just under 300 rwhp and just over 300rwtq, so anything modded will walk all over you. Not much experience with the imports, but Im sure with 300 whp, you should be able to hang with them for the most part. Any american performance car will rape you thou.
but seriously i walk camaros like there geo metros and fubar muscle i used to have a 04 mustang gt heavily modded and now that ive gone with a f/i 4 i will never go back to an 8 all they are is gas sucking turds like some1 **** on that toilet in a few previous posts and as far as your camaro making that power i want a dyno chart otherwise im throw the b/s flag

At 234whp in my automatic ive beaten a 2006ish ford mustang shelby gt325 as well as a few mustang gt's from different years, modded civics, 94 and 97 eclipse gsx's, some 91ish camaro v8's.

Pretty much when you want to see how well a car would do from a roll........look at their 1/4 mile mph. With 300 whp you should be running around 110 mph trap speeds. My 300 rwhp 85' Mustang ran 107 mph trap speeds. A new C6 Corvette (non Z06) will run in the 115-116 mph range. I think you could possibly hang with a lot of stock domestic "muscle cars". You could take an LT1 (93-97) Camaro or Firebird no problem.....LS1's would be a lot closer.

less weight = greater power to weight than stock camaro and mustang... = easy beat off line and down the stretch. The cobalt SS has a significantly greater power to weight ratio over most v8 muscles. That makes it a heavy contender. Corvettes and the like are in a whole 'nother playing field and you're waisting your time arguing over whats faster and whats not. Furthermore the LS-1 camaro STOCK was capable of putting 300 whp and 318 rwtq. Simple changes to gears and exhaust on the v8 can easily put them beating the cobalt.

i beat a fully bolted cobalt, 2.5 pulley, meth, pretty much everything possible, he put down 330whp and i believe just over 300tq, from a roll i beat him by about a car and a half, from a dig was about 4.5 cars

To the OP:
I pulled an auto LS2 GTO with intake/tune/catback, really hard, many times. I was probably 310-320whp. LS1 Gto's are gonna get stomped by a 300whp Cobalt unless they have extensive bolt-ons or nitrous.
No-one that you know about. Beware the power of a worked head with cams.

i like sea level better lol
i have heard of 302 whp with a 2.5" race gas and a off the wall tune, never saw the dyno but the member said it was a very happy dyno.
If he had head work and cams maybe then but i doubt that he has the work done.
