Lazy! There are only like 8 bolts and a couple clips involved.

Mix ATF with acetone. Best penetrating oil ever made.

Its the trip to the dealer to get it to work

I'll have to try that with bolts I can get to, the Nuts Off works great because it has lube in the spray so it leaves behind a waxy feel. Old hill-billy method is 1/8 tighter, heat the bolt up a bit with a torch and melt a candle into the threads, works great with rusted on lugs

Nope read about a comparison they did. They did a controlled rust and compared the torque needed to free the bolts with a bunch of different penetrating oils. The ATF acetone mix worked better than any of them tested.

Interesting. I'll have to try that in a few weeks when I do my control arms. I'll let you know how it works with the amsoil atf.

Homemade Penetrating Oil tests - The Garage Journal Board
When I replaced my control arms with FE5 I sprayed one side with WD40 and soaked one side in the ATF/acetone mix. The difference really was significant.

Wd 40 is reserved for cleaning guns and stocks for me now. Isn't bad stuff, but far superior products on the market now.

Liquid Wrench for me, used to use PB Blaster but a study was done and Liquid Wrench came out on top, even above the Acetone mix. Search Google you'll find it. LW is awesome

Just use it as a finishing agent. We hunt in the rain and snow. Just rub the barrel and stock down with it to help displace moisture and avoid rust.

Got stranded at a Chinese food place. Car wouldn't start after I got food. Ended up being a corroted relay for the fuel pump. Scraped it off and car started right back up. After me yelling at the car and a few people for a few hours

I found the easy solution.... Just bust off the alignment clips on the bottom of the headlight in a fit of rage.... They slide in much easier afterwards.........

I have used both and the LW does not work as well for me vs the ATF actetone mix. To me PB works a tad better than LW and WD40 but not nearly as well as the ATF mix. I used ATF +4.

Should have just cleaned the relay with soy sauce.

Actually on saturday...

but discovered less than hand tight bolts in the upper trans mount under the fuse box. The piece underneath that connects the mount to the trans was also stripped. Used Jap's as a replacement and even the threads on his seemed pretty fragile. He cleaned up the threads a little bit and bolted everything back in place and the car drives way smoother and shifts a lot better - and I thought it was already shifting pretty smooth before lol

So just a tip, if you've ever swapped your trans, check your upper trans mount (under the fuse box).
