What Have You Done To Your Cobalt Today?

Broke down driving home from work on Xmas eve....
Starting boggin on me, and the revs were bouncing all over the place.
No CEL or code's were being thrown.
Stuck 40KM's from home, no tools, and no trustworthy shops open anywhere!
I wasn't sure if I had a bad injector, a vacuum leak, MAF messed up, Intake issue... no idea.
I'm also dealing with a pretty nasty kidney infection, so I'm not in the best shape to start tearing my car apart.
I figured f**K it, I'll get it towed to the stealership where I bought it, since they opened up on Sat the 27th.
My local shop is closed until Jan 5th, so My choices were limited.
They determined that my MAF was corroded, and wanted to replace it.
They also said that they couldn't remove it from my after market intake pipe without breaking it, and that I would need to bring my stock intake in to put back on and test, but that may not be the issue.
They wanted 500$ and change to do this.
I said "no, dont bother. I'll take care of it."
I started to price out MAF sensors while sitting in a medical clinic.
20 mins later, I get a call from the stealership: "good news, the car is running properly."
When I pick up the car and read the report, it mentioned that my "intake pipe was loose," something the service manager "forgot" to tell me on the phone.
Basically 130$ to find out my intake was loose.... Merry F**k'n Xmas!... coulda been worse I supose...
I am going to go back to stock intake and AC delco filter with airbox mod, and hunt for a new MAF sensor.

Maybe I will keep it stock for the time being until car #2 comes around and I can keep this thing off the road for the winter.

I drove my car during a tropical storm lee and never once had an issue.
Don't drive through standing water or a river and you will be fine.
See me for a properly modded airbox when you are ready.
