What Have You Done To Your Cobalt Today?

As for the KY clutch, driving it I never had any problems with it except for the ridiculously high engagement. But once we took it apart there were some very uneven wear marks on the pressure plate and pressure plate side of the disc. Oh well, you get what you pay for I guess, I should have went South Bend in the first place, that's what I get for cheaping out.

Lowered my front coils to match the back.
I was getting some slow speed bounciness in the front, so I took out the 4mm preload I had and just snugged up the springs.
Also adjusted from softest setting to medium on front and back shocks. Its much better, but still noticeable at times.
I'm sure its just down the the stiffer springs, and I'll get used to the difference.

Tonight I'll be paying for some head so I can do some porting and a good cleaning really deep. Hey! Get your mind out of the gutter I'm talking about a cylinder head not that! I'm excited to get this done and see what kind of power the car puts down. May as well do the balance shaft delete while I have the car apart too. Now I'm really tempted to do better springs too, but that'll have to wait until the SC kit.

Put in new Pistons, rods, water pump, timing chain assembly, balance chain assembly, oil pump, put the completely rebuilt head on, new head bolts, and decided it was time to look for my new parts I want.

Yyyyyyep. Happened again a couple times today. Guy in a Mazda 6s kinda kept up okay. I need more grippy tires bad though. A NA shouldn't burn the tires as much as mine does. I'd really like to get some RPF1s first though. Also I pulled up to a light next to a guy in a stock looking silverado. Guys were talking with the windows down. "Look at this guy. He probably thinks his car is fast. Yeah let's show him how bad his car sucks." I wonder how they liked my taillights.
I probably shouldn't play so much but there has been a significant increase in retards in stock cars acting like damn fools lately so why not I guess... Mustangs and trucks today, Corvettes in my SC future.

Found settings im happy with for the coil overs.
They have 16 levels of adjustment, and I was running at about half, or middle dampening/rebound setting.
Switched to 12 in front (4 from hardest), and 10 in rear (6 from hardest), and its smoothed out the low speed bouncy castle feeling, lol.
Since I put them on last week, I have lost the clunking sounds I was getting. Now im getting stiff suspension clunks, not "something is loose" clunks, haha.
It has also fixed the slight steering wheel wobble I was getting around 120km/h.
Whats most amazing, and I can't figure out, is my gas mileage has gotten better!
The past few months ive been sitting steady right at 9.2l/100km or 25.57mpg.
Since last weekend when I put the coils on, its down/up to 8.9l/100km or 26.43mpg.
Nothing about my driving has changed (minus the first 2 days of dialing in settings), same average speed, same route to work, same bullshit GTA traffic...
I thought that the car felt slightly easier to get up to speed when I first drove it with the coils, but I thought maybe it was just in my head.
Im wondering if my old struts were causing a little bit of rolling resistance somehow??
I don't know enough about suspension (toe, camber, caster) to know if thats the case, but I'll take what I can get!

Made an S2000 trying to tailgate me see my tail lights...
From several bus lengths away.
Dude was trying his best to keep pace, but he eventually slowed down and wouldn't even make eye contact with me.
I don't like to street race, but sometimes ******** need to be put in their place. He had his girlfriend and a small dog in the car with him, btw. And his S2000 was slammed with the tires being crooked, like this:
