Thanks, that puts me at ease. If they do what they did last Black Friday for pricing I may very well pick up a set.

Flushed my brake fluid, added new DOT4 fluid, and rotated my tires.

65k on the original brake fluid... it was pretty nasty. I'll prob. change the fluid every 50k from here on out.

Anyone have an idea on why the interceptors would show knock and not the rpd?

I thought he changed the spring rate from the v4 to the v5? But I could be wrong, all I know is I have v5's lol that's what John told me when we were installing them, and crate engine say they are selling v5's but I don't know to be honest. Maybe John will see this and chime in.

Jesse- No prob man, Also I have seen posts about eibach springs braking and just to clear that up mine haven't broke and I had them on my 06 supercharged and that car got written off about a year ago now and I still used them after on my Tc for a bit till I switched to the stance and they still haven't broken.
In total I have had them for almost 3 years now I think.

We need a chat bar or something that we can real time chat in, Some other forums have it so wth are we doing stuck in 97 here lol

I have to wonder if the interceptor shows KR and predicted KR.

I've been doing a lot of reading and a couple guys said our PCM's anticipate knock and will pull timing in anticipation of that. Perhaps that's what shows up on interceptors / HPTuners logging and maybe that's why the RPD doesn't show it?

I'm wondering if the RPD only shows real knock?

What you're describing is called "burst knock" and it typically only happens in large throttle changes in my experience

Perhaps a different/bad batch of gas? I'm not sure where you did your fueling. Lots of things happen in your car's mind when you refill.

From what I understand the V5 and V3 have the same specs/quality, the V5 is just the latest build. It's no issue to me. I can't afford them anyway. I need to get my Nova project rolling again. I almost bought Eibach springs and front/rear bars in 2012, but they were back-ordered for 6 months I was told, so I opted to buy HP Tuners instead.

1997 was cool. I learned many things in that year that I still use today. I was 8 lol.

Are you saying "burst knock" is knock the PCM anticipates vs actual knock?

Yes. Exactly. It's used in my car and a lot of V8s for throttle changes. If you suddenly change the airflow(for example, you floor it) it anticipates that this will cause the car to knock so it backs off timing.

It could be the gas I usually do shell off my parents house on the weekends but had to put gas yesterday at a chevron I used to go before but I guess it was no good I'll just keep an eye out

The LNF's ecu is pretty crazy, it will register KR but not pull timing. If the any of the calibrations are off it will register KR but not pull timing. Only way to check is to look at your command table vs actual, normally the light and med load KR is due to maf calibration being off

This is why I have no desire to learn LNF tuning
