Nope. The less technology that conditions people to rely on it, the better imo. Start teaching/promoting awareness, and stop Federally mandating things like back up cameras. It's just a band-aid for the real problems.
I've ridden with quite a few people with newer cars. Every single person is glued to the backup screen. Start the car, and stare at the screen. No over the shoulder glances. Nothing. Same with changing lanes. No quick mirror checks or anything, just move over. "It will beep if someone is there". Absolutely terrifying.
All it does is train people to be completely unaware of their surroundings. Obviously there are people who use the technology to "suppliment" their good driving skills, but the vast majority of drivers are oblivious zombies. They were always, but this just promotes the poor behavior and takes it to a whole new level.

The less crazy technology the better IMO.
I CANT use a backup camera. I dont trust it and It tweeks me out.
But i do enjoy heated seats.
I was considering putting them in mine, but i dont really wanna cause any unnecessery wear on the leather either.
I did put them in my 98 neon however, cloth is more forgiving. Theyre nice to have.

I agree though, all the added bullshit on the new cars is getting redic. My friends Tesla can drive itself.
Damn sorry man

Yup again! Nothing I could of done really i was at a stop light first car in the lane, I was looking at the light to turn green since it was about to then I just felt the hit. Got down looked at the damage, got back into my car and called the cops(worthless btw, no ticket to the guy or nothing)
They are bright it was close to 5 tho so the sun was hitting them but they are totally visible since I have the k2 for brakes. Cars weren't moving i was there for awhile since the light had just turn red. I never let go of my brake either or moved forward, So really no excuse for him to hit me

Yup he did,I did the claim yesterday I'm waiting for them to call me and see what's going to happen next, after work I will be stopping at the body shop to see if they can assist me in anyway like last time. If nothing happens in a few days then I might just start a claim or it all starts going down hill I'll just get it covered thru my own insurance

Also everyone has their noses buried in their phone. At night if the intersection is gonna be clear, i can just rev a little with the clutch in and the person next to you with their nose in the phone will try to take off then slam on the brakes and glare at me.
