z2 isn't available yet. At least not down here. Up there?

I've actually thought about the Contis since I made my post, John! Exsoccer got me to thinking about what I need from the tires and really all I want is a decent upgrade from the stock Contis. They last forever and do well in rain, but don't stick so well as I would like. I don't really need a race tire like the Star Spec or Nitto or KDW. maybe something in between the stock Contis and the Star Spec.

You think the extreme contacts are the way to go? You like them better than the sport contact 3? The price is certainly right.

this is on a 9.5 wide rim. It is great for the track, has a few disadvantages with tramlining and stuff and steering ps load. If I were you , on an 8 rim I would go 235 45 18 thats a good compromise. Check out Loki's vid of his car at TOTD on another site. He runs that size (sure they are Z1's) but the issue is the size, the contact patch shape, and the negative effects of too much tire for the rim, or for the car ( when you stretch it like I do). so. save money, profit, go 235 45 18 in that tire. my advice.

ORLY? thats a shame. email me, when Loki gets back from his road trip Thursday I will have a stick with it on. Its on U tube somewhere. There is also a kick ass video from Rantoul ILL of a car on YYZ and hardcore at an auto cross I have been meaning to get in touch with him, so I can get permission to put the vid on my web site and Hyperco's.

I gotta say I pine for good weather and beating up on the Redline it loves to go round corners lolName: 20090817_WGI_GR3_4297.jpg

Washed it. Waxed it. Drove it from S.C. to Florida. Tomorrow I take it to the Turkey Day Rod Run.

Worth having. I just reinstalled my lower grille after having installed my tow hook and running around without it. Must have in Florida. Bugs everywhere
