I kinda want to remove the tint in my tails but they are k2 and I'm not sure how to go about removing the tint and then I'm worried how they will look since the are custom made by colodude and weren't cheap

Are they tinted or smoked? I have the smoked ones that he did and they are bright in sunshine.

Smoked they are k2 tails and I'm not worried about the brake light I'm more worried about having them smoked because of the cops and my turn signal that's amber switchbacks

Ah, I don't have switch backs. Mine aren't any darker than some of the new stock ones coming out. Plus it's a gtr.......

Snail, you are right that the switchback tube blinkers are kinda hard to see during the day. If you wanted, we could look at making your K2 LED rings both brakes and blinkers. That is how my latest design is like that replaced the switchbacks. It would be just a matter of some rewiring in your harness.
I don't think the tube blinkers would be much brighter if your lenses were totally clear.
And regardless, the smoke is not a coating, the lens itself is that color so there's no way you can take it off. Let me know if you want to look at using the K2 LED rings for blinkers. I've done it on one other set quite some time ago. Here's what my latest design looks like:

If you wanted to I could even look at making them switchable. So you could run the K2 rings during the day and the switchbacks after dark

Those tail lights are so nice.. What does a set typically cost? For the Tube blinkers and LED ring (like the video). Also do they have to be smoked or can they be in a similar housing to OEM? Just more or less window shopping right now.

They can come with clear smoked, red or red smoked lenses. See picture for the comparison.
I'll send you pricing in a PM since I'm not a vendor on here and do not want to go to jail

Actually, it would be free room and board, plus no risk of catastrophic engine damage while I'm locked up. Doesn't sound so bad now, does it?

I put an arm rest in today. Jeez I should have done this a long time ago. So much more comfortable. I'll be getting a redline goods cover for it in the near future. I also just noticed my toolbox matches the interior.

OzzyruleZ, how difficult was the install? I've been thinking about adding an armrest.

It's not at all, maybe an hour and a novice could do it. Love mine except at the strip when I use the ebrake a lot. Don't know why they didn't come with them. Easy place to throw a few things alo and it folds up when you need to manhandle the ebrake.

It shouldn't really take more than 20 mins to install the armrest. You need to tighten what 6 bolts, if I remember correctly

Btw, since we're back in the topic of arm rests, does anyone know where to get the whole kit now that gmpartsdirect no longer carries it? I saw one on ebay, but it doesn't match my interior color.

Yeah it's stupid easy to install. Hardest part is the front bracket bolts and they aren't so bad with a gear wrench. I got mine complete at the junkyard for 27 bucks. It isn't perfect but I'll take it for that price.
