Past Weekend: Installed a head unit, double din alpine iva-w505, removed my headliner, dyed black (long story short, dont try to go to any store in Daytona the weekend of the Daytona 500, everything is closed, so i used the cans of fabric dye, black), need to pick up a drill to do the dome light, then will put back in.
Last Night: Received my BilletProShip STS in the mail. Put that in asap. One thing i realized is that the pivot cup that surrounds the ball, on the stock shifter is placed above the ball, on the BPS i had to go from the bottom of the ball, since i was unable to get the shifter into reverse, after i disassembled it and changed the pivot cup to the bottom it works perfect. The fact that its metal rubbing on metal, with grease as a lubricant, and feels so much better then the stock plastic assembly.
I also purchased their shifter clamp, upon replacing i realized mine was in perfect condition, prob could have not got theirs but oh well, their piece will never come off, and for 50 bucks i have piece of mind that my shifter will never fail. Was about 7pm when i finished the STS install (dark outside), so i didnt get to base bushing, will prob do those tonight.

Took it to a dealership today. Sales manager comes back with list of whats wrong with it:
-Mismatched tires. Explain fronts are winter, backs are all-seasons. Still have other fronts at home.
-Air intake. Explain we still have stock airbox
-Knocks, vibrations, and clunks. I explain its a freaking Cobalt, what else do you want? They aren't issues, they're features!! hahah
He just looks at me and my dad just goes, "Really, its a pretty cavalier with Pontiac badges. What else do you want?"

Sounds like you got some answers yesterday. Any thoughts on what's next?

Well the reason it went to the dealership was because we may trade it in on a 08 SS/TC. We almost have the deal done, but they need to replace the tire pressure sensors for sure (stupid light is on) and we want all new rotors since they were resurfaced. If we can get that, I may have a LNF soon!

haha well hopefully I won't have issues. Rules are it must remain stock for a while with the exception of GMS1. Sucks, but I won't complain. First we gotta get it. I honestly don't expect a new car, but hey I won't complain!

Didn't do any major mod work to it lately, but I did warn my oldest son that I'd tear his nuts off and feed them to the dog if he skateboarded any closer to the nose of my car! Guess that's doing something FOR the car!
