damn... is it hard as ****, or pretty decent if you do your work? medic school here is 1 year long basically an internship at a local hospital. Im mostly scared of the "assessments" basically doing a step by step what to do, because my memory is not so good.

I'm just going through it. My sister and mom both have their emt-iv so I pretty much know what I'm in for it's just going through it all. Once I get into my first semester of medic I'm gonna start looking at which fire dept i wanna be with or if I just wanna stay at a 911 ambulance service and then move away to like Nashville or Chattanooga when I'm done.

Partially true. The minimum requirements are the same. Different states allow different things and as a result teach more. In Mississippi you are allowed the bare minimum and that's it. No oxygen, combitube or anything really, but in tennessee you are allowed to administer O2 insert a combitube and IV and use an AED but not allowed to administer meds use any ALS measures.
