There is something about the seat position and or pedals that hurts my upper leg going back and forth between the gas and the brake. Something im thinking is related to the pedal height. Ive never had this problem on any other car ive owned or driven in except this one.

Hmm i thought it was just me with the pedal thing, my knee pops every time with the clutch too. But it feels great and natural to drive lol.

But for me, i think the biggest peeve i have is the ride quality, pertaining to the rattles and thuds in the interior. A bit of sound deadening would have been nice

And from an aesthetic standpoint, the surface of the paint is terrible. I know orange peel exists on any factory car, but mine is just bad.

(Sorry cobalt)

if your clear is still intact the factory orange peel is easily correctable with a good 3000 grit wet sand and a DA buffer with meguiars 205/105 compound and polish. Ive done it before on car's that had wicked bad orange peel. It's a cumbersome process that takes at least 2 days worth of work but the end results are good.

The biggest pet peeve was the dash trim why couldn't all the models be the same. I hate the silver for the ss /sc/tc even changing it or coloring it still need to change radio and HVAC. While base belts and g5 had charcoal trim or faux carbon fiber. GM just leave it black for all..

Biggest pet peeve(s)?

1)the shifters sorta like churning cement and the engine position makes it buck like a horse

2) Its FWD... thats about it, and even that doesn't bug me a whole lot.. I've had my fun f***'n around with RWD, theirs been a few times in the winter where my ATS was trying to kill me though....

overall the ATS is obviously the "better" car, but I enjoy the cobalt more, its an absolute riot to drive! it's just so much more fun! and I'd be willing to bet quite a lot of money T/C would absolutely SPANK my old ATS in a straight line and around a track.

I have a stock black radio. Been unused for like 2 years. Its wierd to sit in s balt and not have the big touch screen deck. Its really grown on me and stock looks silly imo

This pioneer suits it very well. Best thing that came with the car( he gave me the stocker too whicj was cool )

Rattle
Rattle
Clunk

WTF was that noise?

I swear to god, every time I drive, it sounds like something is either broken off, breaking off, or about to explode. And you'd think that since i fixed my steering shaft I'd be happy. NO! Now I can just hear all the other suspension noises that much clearer!

idk what kind of paint issues you guys are having, but i have 200K on my car and the paint is in great shape.

if there is one thing i could change, i guess it would be the quality of the interior.

Oh and who the hell cant find wheels for 4x100?

My paint is in decent shape compared to others. It's just the thin clear coat. If you brush up against the car on accident or even look at it wrong, bam surface scrach/swirl. Though I am pretty mad about the bubbling at the front of he hood, rusting from inside out. Also, 4X100 pattern is stupid common as opposed to the 5 lug pattern the SS has.
